Talking about rigor in science: Marc Hauser resigns

From a Harvard release. from Marc Hauser

“While on leave over the past year, I have begun doing some extremely interesting and rewarding work focusing on the educational needs of at-risk teenagers. I have also been offered some exciting opportunities in the private sector. While I may return to teaching and research in the years to come, I look forward to focusing my energies in the coming year on these new and interesting challenges.”

I met Marc and my one complaint with him is his term “humaniqueness”, really worst: he was really proud of it.  Someone remarked it could be used in a french skin treatment line products. Good luck  Marc

. By the way,  Harvard faculty voted not to allow him to teach undergraduates!!: the Harvard faculty may be the highest paid bunch of cynical academics.  What a bunch.
